This presentation will be followed by a panel of Family Place Libraries in New Hampshire. (https://www.familyplacelibraries.org/) Come learn about what it takes to be a Family Place Library. Prepare yourself to apply for the grant opportunity or just take home some tips on making your library more family friendly.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITY:
Funding has been made available through the Sandy River Charitable Foundation to integrate new sites into the national network of Family Place Libraries. The main goal of Family Place Libraries is to expand the traditional role of libraries by positioning them as community centers for early literacy and learning, early childhood development, parent education, and community-based information. Libraries selected must indicate a strong commitment on the administrative and children’s services levels to provide the institutional and staff support necessary to establish and sustain this initiative.
Family Place Application 2018—due by Oct 30, 2018
